STUDY ON TRANSFORMATION OF REGIONAL STRUCTURE AND MIXTURE IN URBAN VILLAGES

Urban village is a geographical area whose characteristics, structure and function are between traditional cities villages, its main characteristics transitional, hybrid dynamic. This study focuses on the transformation coexistence of basic urban by choosing Mayuan located in Kunming city, China, as case study, analyzing situation mixture mixed settlement under influence top-down policy bottom-up local spontaneity. It found that overall land use highly mixed, while old residential has own versatility with residence commerce.
